A Complete Creative Production Pipeline
Spotlight Academy and McNificent together give students hands-on training in acting, self-representation, public speaking, on-camera performance, television production, commercial production, choir, dance, musical performance, and live stage presentation. Each cohort works toward producing a student-led television episode, a student-led commercial, on-camera acting clips, a choir and musical performance activation, and a final school showcase, screening, or live performance event.

The mission of Spotlight Academy and McNificent is to create a direct school-to-Hollywood pipeline by giving students professional-style training in acting, music, choir, dance, television, commercials, and live performance inside their schools. The program helps students find their voice, own their story, step into the spotlight, and understand how their creativity can connect to future careers in media, entertainment, communications, performance, advertising, stage production, and digital content.
Program Leadership
Shiobann Amisial
Leads the Spotlight Academy acting and self-representation pathway. Her work with students focuses on acting, auditions, confidence, on-camera presence, preparation, emotional expression, communication, and self-representation.
Martha Brogdon
Leads the McNificent choir, dance, musical, and live performance activation. Her work with students focuses on performance discipline, stage confidence, musical presentation, dance, choir, audience connection, and live showcase preparation.
Chad Culver
Supports program development, school partnership planning, production strategy, sponsor coordination, and implementation support for the combined Spotlight Academy and McNificent activation model.

Creative Careers Students Can Explore
Hollywood and entertainment include writers, producers, directors, editors, camera crews, choreographers, music directors, performers, marketers, designers, business teams, and production staff.
Student Production Deliverables
Student Television Episode
Students develop and produce a short school-based TV episode with student hosts, scripted scenes, interviews, school news, feature stories, positive school culture messages, career spotlights, and community stories.
Student Commercial
Students create a short commercial promoting a school event, attendance, reading, anti-bullying, school pride, healthy habits, career readiness, arts education, or a fictional student-created brand.
Choir and Musical Performance
Students participate in a McNificent musical performance activation including choir vocals, choreography, musical theatre scenes, seasonal performance material, and audience engagement.
On-Camera Performance Clips
Students record short performance clips: acting monologues, self-introductions, audition slates, public speaking clips, character performances, host introductions, commercial reads, and interview practice.
Final Showcase / Live Event
The program concludes with a school event featuring student introductions, live musical performance, choir, dance, TV episode screening, commercial screening, acting scenes, certificates, and parent/community engagement.
Seasonal School Activations
Dr. Nuke's Halloween Trunk-or-Treat Activation
A school-friendly Halloween performance and media activation. Students may create a Halloween-themed choir performance, choreographed dance routine, student commercial, short TV episode, character performance, and family showcase moment.
Holiday Showcase
Holiday choir performances, musical theatre scenes, school holiday commercials, student-hosted holiday TV segments, and family showcase performances.
Black History Month Production
Spoken word, acting scenes, cultural storytelling, music and dance performance, student-hosted educational episodes, and community showcase moments.
Spring Arts Showcase
Acting scenes, choir and dance performances, commercials, school TV episodes, talent showcases, and family screening nights.
Graduation and Awards Performance
Recognition videos, student host segments, live musical performances, school pride commercials, and graduation showcase moments.
Eight-Week Combined Program Schedule
Week 1Introduction to Spotlight Academy and McNificent+
Confidence, acting basics, choir introduction, dance and movement, self-introductions, media career pathways, production roles, and performance expectations.
On-camera slate introduction and group performance warm-up.
Week 2Acting, Voice, and Self-Representation+
Voice projection, body language, public speaking, personal presentation, stage presence, on-camera presence.
Short acting or public speaking clip and vocal confidence exercise.
Week 3Scriptwriting, Story, and Musical Concept Development+
TV episode planning, commercial concept, choir or musical performance theme, story structure, character roles, performance assignments.
Draft TV episode outline, draft commercial script, performance song or scene plan.
Week 4Rehearsal and Production Prep+
